heard ("the App") is operated by Christopher Bible ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Heard.
Information We Collect
Account information — username, email address, and password when you create an account
Profile information — display name, bio, profile photo, banner image, location, and social handles you choose to provide
Usage data — albums you log, ratings, favorite albums and artists, and accounts you follow
Device information — device type and operating system for crash reporting purposes
How We Use Your Information
To operate and provide the Heard service
To display your profile and activity to users you follow and who follow you
To improve app performance and fix bugs (via Sentry crash reporting)
To send transactional emails such as password resets (via Resend)
What We Share
Your username, profile photo, logs, ratings, and favorites are visible to other Heard users. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the following third-party services:
Spotify — for album and artist data (we do not access your Spotify account)
Cloudflare R2 — for storing profile and banner images
Sentry — for crash and error reporting
Neon — for database storage
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, which will remove your personal information from our systems.
Children's Privacy
Heard is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above.
